Weekly update – 6 January 2023

All lit up

We’re back after the festive break and raring to go on completing frontage one (Long Curtain Moat). All the concrete slabs for the new promenade are cast and we’re installing street lighting that will really enhance the area – as you can imagine from the rather gloomy photo! You can get a clear view of the final touches being made to this area from King’s Bastion.

Terrace turnaround

At frontage four (Southsea Castle) we’ve nearly completed installation of the wall units on the seaward side of the promenade.

We’re getting ready to put in terrace units on the land side, ready to form the ‘theatre of the sea’ where people will be able to sit and enjoy the views across the Solent.

Looking to the future

Join us for an exhibition at the Canoe Lake tennis centre (CourtX) in Eastern Parade, Southsea on Friday 24 February (2pm – 8pm) and Saturday 25 February (9am – 3pm). The exhibition will focus on our upcoming works in 2023 and 2024 at Frontage 5 West (Pyramids to Speakers’ Corner) and Frontage 3 (Southsea Common). See you there!

What does the fox say?

We’ve got three foxy foremen on site and lots of public demand to see them ‘working’. Here’s our latest ‘fox on the rocks’ photo, taken as he oversees the rock pile near Blue Reef Aquarium.
