Weekly update – 14 October 2022

 Waste not, want not…

We aim to be a zero waste Scheme by saving up to £4m in landfill costs, avoiding 24,600 lorry movements and preventing 3,950t of CO2 being released by vehicle movements into the atmosphere. Thank you to the residents nearby who have patiently heard our crushers regrading material that we have taken out of Frontage 4 (Southsea Castle) to be used elsewhere in the project. The view from the air shows you how vital the playing fields are to this important commitment from the project.

T I M B E R ! ! ! !

Okay…not quite timber coming down, but the top section of the front sheet pile line coming down at least!  This exposes the limestone walls and granite revetment to the elements and can be seen from the sea for the first time. The anorthosite rock armour is just viewable on the right -hand side of the picture.

Weekend working…

Please note that we will be working weekend shifts this weekend on Saturday 15 October. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
