Slab fab

The concrete slabs for the promenade in front of Clarence Pier car park are well underway. The concrete is reinforced with steel for durability and has exposed aggregate finish (you can see the small stones in the concrete). We lay re-bar (stainless steel reinforcements) and pour the concrete into slab moulds in situ – check out the photo.

Step, step, stepping stones!

Literally! We have installed the stepping stones in the planter beds – again in front of the car park.  Oh, the fun that we can see happening with children – young and old – on this quirky addition to the improvements we are making to the area.

Take a seat

The seating and steps on the west promenade are coming together. The seats built into the prom will be covered in wood, with lighting built into the backrests. What a treat from where to sit and view the busy Solent!

We would like to express our deep sadness following the announcement of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time.
